"We are going back to service the bloggers," Jalichandra said, who took on the roles of president and CEO two months ago when founder David Sifry left the company. "There has been a lot of feedback from those who thought we lost our way with bloggers. We created Blogger Central, which is the first phase of putting all resources Technorati has for bloggers and the conversation about blogging in one channel." Sayed Imam El-Sherif wrote a letter to his many friends last month, telling them that they really should find a better way of working out their differences than throwing punches. Doesn't sound like the stuff national news is made of, does it? It is when you remember that El-Sherif is better known by his nom de guerre: Dr. Fadl, the infamous founder of Egyptian Islamic Jihad (Al-Jihad, EIJ). His letter, written from his prison cell southwest of Cairo, called on Islamist and jihadi groups around the world to cease violent operations, bluntly declaring, “We are prohibited [by God] from committing aggression, even if the enemies of Islam do so." .
Has reaction to the Archbishop's Sharia law comments been Islamophobic ...
I was schocked when I viewed the BBC 2-minute video summary on the Internet portraying, I think only 20 seconds after the explanation had started, a black man lashing a young person in front of a crowd of black children who looked dismayed. Why that? Why not try and have a think about what the Archbishop meant? I think the whole reaction is so really stupid. I am convinced that the archbishop is a thoughtful man however, if he is so thoughtful, could he not guess that his remarks would be misconstrued and that the same bad images of Islam and so-called Islamic law being implemented wherever ( real Islamic law is implemented NOWHERE at all and I know what I am talking about) would just come up AGAIN and AGAIN? I dont know but if even somebody like me could figure this out , he could have too, and therefore I am pondering about the significance and relevance of this declaration.

We can blame ourselves lately because we want quick sound bites rather than complicated answers...In the end it is you pressuring your legislator to face the issues and tell it to you straight and then you have to be willing to pay because in the end there is no free lunch." Well, sometimes there is. Google is infamous for giving staff free lunch. The company has a full cafeteria - complete with cookies bearing a Giants logo that Bloomberg held up to hoots and hollers of appreciation from the Googleites. The mayor, whose own private company apparently also dishes out free meals, corrected himself. “Except for here and at Bloomberg. And incidentally, if you think it is really free you do not understand the business model." On immigration, Bloomberg (a frequent duffer himself) noted that golfers should be pro-immigrant because golf courses wouldn't be the same without them.
